DinoBoy is, well, a DinoBoy!
DinoBoys are a species of dinosaur-like creatures with silly faces and quirky personalities.
Oddly enough, despite the name, DinoBoys have no identifiable gender.

When they hatch, they start out as a plain old Boy, but as they grow and learn, they’ll turn into a unique, fully-fledged DinoBoy!
DinoBoys come in a variety of shapes and sizes.
Inspired by Tamagotchi and Digimon, how a Boy is raised will influence the kind of DinoBoy it grows into!
Project Development
Stemming from a rough notebook doodle, I wanted to explore the idea of making a collectible line of ultra-simplified dinosaur figurines with smooth, amorphous bodies.
A key design aspect of DinoBoy is their signature “sandbag feet”, big, round, and heavy feet that smoothly droop down from skinny legs, inspired by an animation motif commonly found in projects by the anime studio Science Saru,
which in itself is inspired by rubber hose animation.
